Abstract

Comparing to the atmosphere, the surface water has a reproducible and clean energy source. So, it is important to evaluate the energy-saving and environmental protection value. In this paper, the coefficients of energy-saving and energy-using are defined, according to the operation mode of HVAC. The effect of surface water source heat pump system and the influence on the environment are also estimated. The result shows that the energy-saving coefficient of surface water source heat pump system is between 0.37 and 1, and the refrigeration coefficient is from 0.29 to 0.42. Traditional air-cooling heat pump could lead to urban heat island, so we quantify the energy-saving potential of surface water source heat pump. At last, we quantify its energy-saving and environmental benefits.
