Abstract

AbstractThe paper presents the research results on the dynamic load of tractor semi-trailer on a round road with grip coefficient \( {\upvarphi } \)xmax = 0.8 at a speed of 50 km/h, being braked with different braking intensities. The authors used the method of structural separation and the Newton-Euler equation to set up the system of dynamic equations of tractor semi-trailer by 3D dynamic model. Matlab-simulink software was used to examine the effect of braking intensity on the dynamic load of tractor semi-trailer. The results showed that, when the tractor semi-trailer moved on the left roundabout with the turning radius of R = 100 m, grip coefficient \( {\upvarphi } \)xmax = 0.8 at a speed of 50 km/h, being braked with 6 different levels, the dynamic load coefficient of the left wheels decreased to about 0.2 to 0.65, and the dynamic load coefficient of the right wheels increased to about 1.35 to 1.8; When braking with a torque of MB = 70%MBđm, the braking distance, braking acceleration meet the requirements of ECE-R13 standard.KeywordsBrakeDynamic loadDynamic load coefficientTractor semi-trailer
