Abstract

Indian Regional Navigation Satellite System (IRNSS) is a very important space sensor network for navigation in India. In January 2017, IRNSS-1A which was one of the seven satellites of IRNSS lost the ability to provide position information because the three Rubidium atomic clocks on board IRNSS-1A failed. This event had a bad effect on the positioning accuracy of IRNSS. In this paper, we use STK to give a simulation about IRNSS, compare the positioning accuracy of IRNSS before and after IRNSS-1A failed, and analyze the degradation of IRNSS.
