Abstract

With the rapid development of economy and the increasing demand for transportation, people pay more and more attention to the issue of low-carbon development. Rail transit has gradually become the first choice for people to travel due to its energy-saving and environmental protection. Based on previous scholars, this paper takes Jiangsu province, the province with the largest number of rail transit cities in China, as an example, selects data related to urban rail transit and low-carbon economic development from 2010 to 2019, establishes an evaluation index system, and analyzes the coordinated development relationship between the two systems by using entropy method, comprehensive evaluation index model and coupling coordination degree model. The results show that: (1) from 2010 to 2019, the development of urban rail transit in Jiangsu Province is on an upward trend, and the development of low-carbon economy as a whole shows a downward and fluctuating trend; (2) the development of Jiangsu Province from 2010 to 2014 belongs to the lagging type of rail transit development, but from 2015 to 2019 it belongs to the lagging type of low-carbon development ; (3) the change laws of coupling degree C and coupling coordination degree D are consistent, and both are in a fluctuating state, but the overall analysis, with the passage of time, shows that the degree of coupled and coordinated development of the two systems is constantly improving towards a coordinated and stable development state.
