Abstract

Teachers of ideological and political theory courses in colleges should have the consciousness of ideological and political education, be able to guide the practice of education and teaching, and cultivate students to adhere to and apply the basic principles of Marxism to solve practical problems. Using literature method, questionnaire method and mathematical statistics method, the article puts forward that the competence of teachers in ideological and political theory courses in colleges and universities in China includes loyalty, political literacy, initiative, self-confidence, training others, learning ability, knowledge and skills. The mathematical statistics method was used to explore and verify it. It was found that the second-order 4-factor first-order 7-factor competency model has a good fitness.
