Abstract

Exciting current is the main error source of the LPCT type electronic current transformers. An electronic circuit based error compensation method for the electronic current transformers is proposed in this paper. By tracking the output voltage of the electronic current transformers, a voltage vector is constructed and it is transformed to a current. This current is used to compensate the electronic current transformer error which caused by exciting current. Principle and error analysis have certified its feasibility and the experimental results have verified the correctness
