Abstract

In order to accurately obtain the over-water flow of the sluice gate and pumping station and to discuss its significance to flood control and drainage, such as flood control scheduling, water resource management, and river regulation, the study took the project called “the flood control of the central urban area of Suzhou” as the experimental area. The flow rate ratio is determined by establishing the correlation between the measured gate flow and relevant hydraulic factors. Through GPRS information collection, real-time transmission of pump and sluice station information is realized, and more economical and efficient flood control scheduling, water resources management, and river regulation approaches are found. This provides a scientific basis and lays the foundation for the improvement of urban flood control and disaster reduction system.
