Abstract
By consulting the foreign literature about the development trend of future fighters, it has been understood that future fighters have some advantages or absolute advantages in flight envelope, flight, maneuverability, stealth characteristics, weapon effectiveness, network intelligence, etc., thereby having typical capability characteristics such as more comprehensive stealth capability, wider combat scope, stronger situational awareness capability, more excellent airborne weapons, etc. The combat scope of future fighters is expanded and they may be equipped with directed energy weapons, so there are stricter requirements for the function and performance of the auxiliary power system, traditional auxiliary power systems will fail to meet the requirements, and it is urgently needed to optimize structure, reduce weight and cost, improve performance and reliability and develop towards the direction of high structure integration and high energy integration. On the basis of introducing traditional auxiliary power systems, this paper further describes the composition and operating principle of more electric integrated power unit, adaptive thermal management system, etc. Through analysis and comparison of different auxiliary energy systems, the development direction of the auxiliary energy system for future fighters has been obtained.
