Abstract
It is well known that measurement-based method is widely used for electric power load modeling. The selection of data format is of primary importance for load model parameters identification. A common format for storing data record in transient process is defined in transient data transformation standard (COMTRADE). The standard has solved the copy problem of transient data record generated, stored and transferred from different devices in different formats. In this paper, the features of the COMTRADE standard are introduced to analyze the recorded fault data. And the application of the event record data used for electric power load modeling is also presented. The simulation results are also given to verify the feasibility and validity.
