Abstract

In order to solve the line loss problem caused by the actual engineering of the underground cable in the distribution network, this paper studies the optimal operation strategy of static var generator (SVG) and traditional reactive power compensation devices with the goal of reducing the active power loss of the distribution network. Firstly, the influence of cable entry to the ground on line loss and line voltage is analyzed. Secondly, a mathematical model is established with the goal of reducing active power loss and improving static voltage stability. Finally, through MATLAB simulation and verification of the actual distribution network, it is proved that the reactive power optimization loss reduction strategy considering SVG has good effects in the case of using underground cable, especially in reducing the loss of the distribution network and improving the power supply quality.
