Abstract

In this paper, we present a Kretschmann prism coupling Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) sensor based on wavelength and angle combined modulation. In order to research the sensing properties of the sensor, we use a 50nm broadband light source with center wavelength 840nm. Eight different incident angles are used to simulate the reflectance fitted curves for different refractive index ranges of liquids by using MATLAB modeling program. SPR sensor based on wavelength and angle combined modulation is a new sensor, it can effectively enlarge measuring range by changing incident angle with the same broadband light source, and can detect more samples. This type of SPR sensor will have various applications in the future.
