Abstract

For the problem of poor surface quality of titanium alloy processing, the micro textures are placed on the flank face of the blunt circular cutting edge ball-end milling cutter, designed the experiments and study the influence rules of various mesoscopic geometric parameters on the surface integrity of titanium alloy milling. The results show that appropriate mesoscopic geometric parameters can significantly improve the surface integrity of titanium alloy workpieces. The parameters were optimized with the aid of particle swarm algorithm and according to the two directions of characterization morphology and the surface layer characteristics.
