Abstract

In the assembly supply chain, manufacturers often source from more than one supplier to avoid supply disruption risks. As increasing manufacturers initialize their just in time(JIT) systems,Supply-Hub becomes a la mode in the assembly systems to support the JIT production.Supply-Hub is not only a logistics hub,but also an information platform, and it masters the inventory and replenishment information of all suppliers. That makes it possible that the suppliers coordinate horizontally. But till now, there is few paper focus on horizontally coordinated replenishment between suppliers who supply the same component although there are lots of research on the problems of multi-sourcing.Therefore,based on Supply-Hub mode,a horizontally coordinated dual-Sourcing policy is studied through establishing the mathematical model, and the validity of the policy was demonstrated by a numerical example. The conclusion indicates that the total cost of supply chain can be decreased obviously while the sevice level is not reduced by using this horizontally coordinated replenishment policy.
