Abstract

In recent years, energy storage is becoming one of the key technologies used in many countries to advance the process of carbon neutrality. Even in the face of the dual pressures of the new crown epidemic and supply chain shortages, in 2021, the global new energy storage market will still maintain a high speed growth trend. In 2021, the installed capacity of newly commissioned electric energy storage projects in the world will be 18.3GW, a year-on-year increase of 185%. Among them, the newly commissioned scale of new energy storage will be the largest, and it will exceed 10GW for the first time, reaching 10.2GW, which is the new investment in 2020. It was 2.2 times the scale of transportation, a year-on-year increase of 117%. The United States, China and Europe continue to lead the development of the global energy storage market, together accounting for 80% of the global market.
