Abstract

The origin of blockchain technology is proposed as a globally distributed database ledger. Smart contracts are event-driven, full-state programs that run on blockchain systems and are used to store and process digital assets and information that exist in blockchain ledgers. The smart contract running on the current general platform can also achieve most of the practical functions of the traditional application system.The development and implementation of blockchain technology provides a good practical basis for the operation of practical application scenarios of smart contract, and smart contract technology can play a very important role in blockchain research. Smart contracts can be automatically applied to computer programs running on the blockchain to meet the conditions of the contract. This paper analyzes the research status and challenges of smart contract from the aspects of security, scalability and maintainability, and summarizes the basic concepts, sources and characteristics of block explicit contract technology. By understanding the development trend of smart contract technology, future application scheme, analysis of existing technical problems, and can predict the future development prospects of smart contract.
