Abstract
The rotor eddy current loss has little effect on the total loss of the motor, but at high and ultra-high speeds, the rotor eddy current loss will rise the temperature, resulting in demagnetization of the permanent magnets. To study the eddy current loss of permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) rotor in harmonic magnetic field, this paper analyzed the eddy current loss magnetic field model. That was obtained through the analysis is the general law of rotor’s eddy current loss in different working states, and on this basis, the influence is explored of various factors such as the rotor protective sleeve and the stator slot on the rotor eddy current loss. The electromagnetic field model is used By analyzing the eddy current loss and distribution cloud image, and analyze and compare the key factors of the rotor eddy current loss of the motor, which provides valuable experience for the subsequent optimal design of the motor.
