Abstract

The blade with complex surface is an important component in aircraft engines. Since manufacturing of the blade should be not only precise but also efficient, cold rolling is chosen to be a good way to realize this process. Though the rolling process of plate is researched well during these years, that of the blade is still not studied in detail. Especially, as the main parameters of plastic deformation, the rolling forces and stresses should be researched carefully. In order to analyze rolling process of the blade with complex surface, an analytical method with multi-planes is presented in three zones one by one. Based on the multi-plane slab method, both rolling force and stress distributions are received. Then simulations are also used to verify the analytical results. At last, the multi-plane analytical model and method presented in this paper can be used to strongly support the forming of blade. This multi-plane slab method can be also used to analyze other forming processing technologies for complex surfaces.
