Abstract
The performance of high pressure common-rail fuel injection system is influenced severely by the adjustment and stability of rail pressure in certain operating condition. A Nonlinear PID is designed to the control of pressure in the common rail. The optimal rail pressure control under different conditions is realized by online genetic algorithm adjustment of PID parameters. The control strategy and realizing means are introduced. The bench test results show that the pressure in common rail is kept at no more than 1.5% fluctuation range.
