Abstract

Reasonable control of the pressure of a hydraulic buffering valve for vehicle shift could improve the smoothness of the vehicle shift. A hydraulic buffering valve for vehicle shift was the research object in this paper, and a segmented mathematical model of the buffering pressure characteristic was established according to the working principle of the hydraulic buffering valve for vehicle shift. Then the influence of its structural parameters on the buffering pressure characteristics was analyzed by MATLAB. The results of the simulation showed that the stiffness of the buffer spring and the diameter of the throttling orifice had just influence on the time of the buffering, and the diameter of its buffer spool not only affected the time of the buffer stage, but also affected the start pressure and end pressure in the buffer stage. And an experimental platform which tested the pressure characteristic of a hydraulic buffering valve for vehicle shift was set up. The results of the test showed that the experiment and simulation results of the trend were the same. The correctness of the model was verified by the experimental platform. This research laid the foundation for further research on optimal design of the hydraulic buffering valve.
