Abstract
Abstract Three kinds of magnesium alloys with different calcium and zinc contents (mass fraction: Mg-0.4%Ca-0.5%Zn, Mg-0.8%Ca-1.0%Zn, Mg-1.2%Ca-1.5%Zn, Mg-1.6%Ca-2.0%Zn, Mg-2.0%Ca-2.5%Zn) were prepared by Powder Metallurgy Method (O/P) with high purity magnesium powder, calcium powder and zinc powder as raw materials. Then, the microstructure, mechanical properties and corrosion resistance of the prepared magnesium alloys were tested to observe the effect of different contents of calcium and zinc on the alloy. The results show that powder metallurgy magnesium alloys had good compactness and could meet the mechanical requirements of human bone tissue. And with the increase of calcium and zinc elements, its mechanical properties and corrosion resistance had been effectively improved. Among them, the mechanical properties and corrosion resistance of Mg-1.6%Ca-2.0%Zn were the best, and their maximum compressive force and hardness have reached 207.063KN and 132.27HV.
