Abstract

The extensive use of impulse loads will not only cause power quality problems such as voltage fluctuation, but also increase the power loss of the power grid, which is not conducive to the realization of the goal of energy conservation and carbon dioxide emission reduction. At present, Static var generator and active power filter, which are widely used in low-voltage power grid, can well compensate the load reactive power and harmonics including impulse reactive power. On this basis, this paper will further study the active power flow controller with low-voltage reactive power compensation, harmonic mitigation and impulse active power smoothing. By improving the detection method of command current of power flow controller, the command current includes the impulse active component of load current, so as to complete the compensation of impulse active power. Finally, the effectiveness of the improved command current detection method is verified by experiments.
