Abstract

With the fast development of photographic measurement and image processing technology, photography measurement system has become widely used in industry measurement area. But its measurement accuracy can be greatly affected by ambient temperature, pressure, vibration and other conditions. Traditional photography measurement system is not suitable for thermal vacuum environment. In this paper, a special photography measurement system is designed for small parts dual dimensions size measurement in thermal vacuum environment. The hardware of this system is composed of highre-solution CCD camera, telecentric lens, LED lights, temperature controller, isolation platform and computer. Measurement software is developed combined image processing algorithm including image enhancing, image segmentation, edge detection, exposure compensation and so on. Measurement test is done in vacuum tank and measurement results show that this system can be applied in thermal vacuum environment with high accuracy.
