Abstract

DC distribution network is more friendly to access new power facilities such as renewable energy, flexible loads, and energy storage system (ESS), which is trend of future distribution network. Considering the stability, security and economy of the multi-terminal DC distribution network dispatching, not only the dispatching mode of the internal controllable resources such as ESS, but also the power of the converters at each terminal should be calculated. The optimal dispatching model is actually a multi-objective optimization problem. Based on the power flow calculation in normal state, this paper aims to optimize the economics of each distributed power source, the voltage quality and the loss of the DC distribution network, and comprehensively considers the devices operation constraints to establish a multi-objects optimal model and achieve secure and economical operation. Finally, a three-terminal DC distribution network is taken as an example to verify the effectiveness of the proposed optimal dispatching strategy.
