Abstract

Nuclear data describe the basic properties of nuclei and the nuclear interaction properties between particles and nuclei. It is the basic data for the development of nuclear science, and an important bridge connecting the fundamental research of nuclear physics, nuclear engineering, and nuclear technology applications. Nuclear data are also an important branch of nuclear physics research. This paper briefly introduces the connotation, types and applications of nuclear data, as well as the experimental nuclear database, the evaluation process of nuclear data and the evaluated nuclear data libraries. Then the development history of nuclear data evaluation and data library in China are introduced, as well as the activities of the International Nuclear Data Organization and the prospects of nuclear data research were reviewed. Finally, some key issues are discussed, such as what need to be paid attention to in the nuclear data evaluation and the future development of nuclear data evluation in China.
