Abstract

This paper bases on the topology of a novel auxiliary resonant commutated pole inverter(ARCPI) with the function of pulse current regeneration. Aiming at solving the problem that the snubber circuit of ARCPI has a high loss in the process of commutation, a modified control strategy is proposed by research on the principle of the energy flowing in auxiliary resonant circuit. This strategy not only won't influence the soft-switching condition of ARCPI, but also makes the loss in auxiliary resonant circuit lowest in the process of commutation. So the problem of low-efficiency of ARCPI at light load is solved under this modified control strategy.
