Abstract

In recent years, the value of augmented reality technology in language teaching has been continuously recognized. The digital language learning environment has gradually changed. Based on the theoretical foundation of gamified learning, educational psychology and brain science cognition, and supported by augmented reality and humancomputer interaction, this paper constructs a language learning environment based on virtual avatar. The learning environment has the characteristics of adapting to different learning styles, learning space integrating virtual and reality, and learning materials with diverse styles. Finally, through teaching experiments, this article applied this learning environment to the teaching of Chinese character writing, aiming to explore the impact of this learning environment on memory retention, interactive satisfaction and learning attitude. Participants were asked to learn the stroke order of twenty Chinese characters by experiencing different interactive environments (Traditional learning environment, Touch environment, AR environment). The results showed that there was no significant difference in learning effects among the three learning environments, and participants in the AR environment showed higher memory retention. At the same time, participants in this environment showed more positive interaction satisfaction and learning attitude.
