Abstract

Aimed at the problem that the threshold value of the multi-infeed effective short circuit ratio index (MIESCR) for evaluating the voltage supporting capability of AC receiving system is not clear, this paper puts out the relationship between MIESCR and the multi-infeed maximum available power (MMAP), and clarifies the limitation of effective short circuit ratio (ESCR) and MIESCR in multi-infeed system, and gives the threshold of MIESCR for system strength discrimination. Then the paper tests the validity of MIESCR through the multi-infeed maximum power curve (MMPC). The study offers theoretical guidance for the application of MIESCR in AC/DC power grid planning.
