Abstract

As an important part of Active Power Filter (APF), LCL output filter can effectively filter out a large number of harmonics which are in integral multiples of switching frequency with the power devices switching on or off. Therefore research on LCL filter is significant in improving APF performance and increasing its popularity. This paper focus on three-phase three-wire APF system and active damping strategy based on LCL filter is studied in detail. The mathematical model of three-phase three-wire APF based on LCL filter in two-phase static a-s coordinates is established primarily, then two kinds of LCL filter active damping strategies, virtual resistor and notching filter, are discussed respectively. Transformation relation between virtual resistor strategy and passive damping strategy is studied, followed by internal relation research between active damping strategy based on virtual resistor (ADSVR) and active damping strategy based on notching filter (ADSNF). On that basis, a new parameter design method for discrete domain notch filter is proposed, in order to fix center frequency migration problems of Notch filter in the process of discretization.
