Abstract

Mobile phone video chat is one of the most important services based on the 3 <sup xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">rd</sup> generation telecommunication. Supported by this system, the mobile devices can have a video chat with other mobile devices and terminals by wireless network anytime and anywhere. This paper implements a mobile video chat system based on a mobile client by researching the control of video rate, RTP data packetization algorithm, and error resilience based on the unequal protection. The practical application shows that the system can provide a real-time mobile video chat service effectively through the mobile network environment smoothly.
