Abstract

Internet of Energy (IoE) is an advanced form of energy system development. From theoretical exploration to engineering practice, top-level design and scientific IoE system planning is critical for realizing IoE, and a crucial guarantee for the successful implementation of large-scale IoE projects. In this paper, we study the theoretical basis of IoE planning, analyze, and summarize the main planning methods of conventional energy systems and IoE development planning, and provide IoE planning approaches based on “grid-information-value.” Finally, we elaborate the planning direction, concepts, and key points at all levels of the energy grid, information support, and value creation.
