Abstract

AF Daughety's paper is largely concerned with technical aspects and policy implications of economic research on intercity freight and, to a certain extent, intercity passenger transport. This author elaborates on that paper in the broader context of transport economics. The comments presented are organized according to general and specific issues raised in the paper.
