Abstract
The target of prognostic and health management (PHM) system is to realize condition-based maintenance and improve autonomic logistics (AL) capability of arm. PHM system is an information system. PHM needs exchange information among its compositive units continually in order to evaluate the current state of arm. But there is not a normative technology way to standardize information description formation and exchanging way. The paper gives the method to resolve this problem. The paper gives the modeling analysis way of information of different cells and periods of time in PHM system based on UML, extracts information elements and summarizes interdependent information entities which include arm information, testability information, sensor information, test information, failure information, maintenance information etc. It establishes information description and exchanging models based on XML. The paper also gives the instance which describes an information element of PHM system, which applies the above way and proves that it is scientific and feasible. The information description and exchanging models based on UML and XML language is simple and authentic and can be realized easily.
