Abstract

Objective To study the immobilization time of children after renal biopsy. Methods A total of 78 children who underwent renal biopsy in our department from January 2015 to January 2017 were selected and randomly divided into control group and observation group with 39 cases in each group. The immobilization time of children of the control group after renal biopsy was 24 h, that of the observation group was 6 h. The complications and comfort degree of the two groups were observed. Results There were no statistically significant differences in the incidences of microscopic hematuria and macroscopic hematuria between the two groups (P>0.05), which indicated that shortening immobilization time of children after renal biopsy would not lead to the increased incidence of complications. The scores of dysuria, defecation difficulty, rubefaction, back pain, and numbness of limbs of the observation group were lower than those of the control group, the score of total sleep time at night of the observation group was higher than that of the control group (P<0.05), which indicated that shortening immobilization time of children after renal biopsy could improve the comfort degree of children. Conclusion The immobilization time of children after renal biopsy was 6 h, which reduced the incidence of complications after renal biopsy and improved the comfort level of the children, which was worth promoting in clinical practice.
