Abstract
Electromagnetic interference caused by high voltage discharge is one of the common problems in modern society. The arc generated by high-voltage discharge is extremely harmful to human body and device. However, the traditional detecting methods of arc are frequently limited by environment and instruments used for detection, so they are incapable of monitoring and detecting the arc timely and effectively. As its low cost, simple system and wide applicability, binocular stereo vision technology has been widely used in environmental monitoring, image detection and other fields. This paper studies the detection method of high voltage discharge arc based on binocular stereo vision, and accomplishes the non-contact, rapid and effective detection of high voltage discharge arc. By setting up a simple binocular stereo vision and high voltage discharge system, the characteristic point cloud of high voltage discharge arc is obtained, and the point cloud is filtered by differential calculation to reconstruct the three-dimensional image of discharge arc. The experiment shows that this method can effectively detect high voltage discharge arc, and the feasibility of high-voltage discharge arc detection method based on binocular stereo vision is further verified.
