Abstract
Analysis and control of power quality by neural network is a new research field in electrical power system. To avoid the deficiencies of current tracking control, this paper presents a new instantaneous current PWM control that based on neural network. Combining wtth ip-iq detecting method that based on instantaneous reactive power theory, a three-phase shunt active power filter (SAPF) for reactive power compensation and harmonic suppression that applied to power system is designed. The performance of SAPF is verified through simulation studies using Matlab. The simulation results show that the SAPF with neural network control has a good performance in harmonics suppression and reactive power compensation.
