Abstract

Aiming at a large number of harmonic pollution in the power grid, the single-phase shunt active power filter (APF) is taken as the research object. Firstly, the harmonic current detection method of three-phase instantaneous reactive power theory is improved, and the single-phase $${i}_{p}-{i}_{q}$$ harmonic detection method is adopted. The detection method is simpler in structure and less in calculation. Secondly, the working principle of traditional dual proportional-integral (PI) control is analyzed. Focusing on the problems of compensation current spike and insufficient compensation performance, a method combining dual PI control theory with repetitive control theory is proposed. MATLAB/Simulink is used for simulation and verification, then analysis of the causes of spike currents in grid currents after compensation of experimental data. The results show that compared with dual PI control method, the proposed control method has fast dynamic response and strong tracking ability, which can effectively remove the current spike and improve the DC side voltage stability and compensation harmonic steady state performance.
