Abstract

CRISPR/Cas is an acquired immune response mediated by RNA that is ubiquitous in bacteria and archaea. CRISPR/Cas9 is considered a new generation of gene editing technology due to its simple design, high editing efficiency and strong adaptability. This article summarizes the development and application of CRISPR/Cas technology in gene editing field, and analyzes its main impact factors for the reference of researchers.
