Abstract

In order to obtain the full flow passage characteristics of the suction chamber and the internal rotor of the double rectangular screw pump, based on the immersed solid method, using the CFD simulation platform, the transient numerical simulation of the typical design conditions of the screw pump with given basic parameters is carried out by using the N-S equation and SST Turbulence Model, and the flow characteristics of the suction chamber of the rectangular screw pump and the flow characteristics of the rotor during operation are obtained. The numerical simulation shows that the pressure fluctuation in the suction chamber is mainly caused by the periodic opening and closing of the closed domain of the volume formed by the double screw rotation, which is mainly the frequency-doubling pulse. The pressure field and the vorticity field analysis show that the uneven of pressure and velocity distribution of internal flow are also mainly caused by the periodic opening and closing of the closed volume formed when the twins-crew is rotated, and the negative pressure and the vortex are mainly generated from the enclosed volume area and spread in the axial direction to the suction inlet and in the radial direction.
