Abstract

The rock mass is squeezed by horizontal and vertical ground stress in high ground stress layer, and the closed joints slowly continuously develop. When the tunnel excavation form a free face, the crustal stress is released, the rock mass slides, extrudes and shears along the joint fracture; and the adjacent rock mass is dragged and lost its self-maintaining ability, resulting in "rock burst" or "large deformation", which has a great impact on personnel and equipment safety. The rock burst section should be based on advanced manholes, supplemented by TSP earthquake wave and other technical means, dynamic characteristics of rock are comprehensively analyzed, stress is released as far as possible to reduce rock burst hazards; soft rock section which is easy to deform, we should pay attention to advanced support, optimize the process and increase the reserve to achieve the purpose of controlling the deformation of the wall rock..
