Abstract

The lightning arrester undertakes the important task of protecting the high voltage electrical equipment of EMU(Electric Multiple Units), so the operation state of lightning arrester is very important for the safe and stable operation of EMU. In this paper, the fluorescent optical fiber temperature measurement system of the lightning arrester was built by customizing the roof arrester with holes, and the temperature change of the internal valve plate was analyzed under the continuous operating voltage and operating shock overvoltage. At the same time, a simulation model is established, and the electrothermal coupling simulation calculation of the lightning arrester is carried out. The simulation results are close to the results of the temperature measurement test, which verifies the accuracy of the model. Finally, suggestions are put forward for the improvement of the lightning arrester according to the results of the test and simulation.
