Research on Evaluation of Regional Competitiveness of Biotechnology Industry Based on Location Entropy

Abstract

Science and technology as a major factor to evaluate the economic strength and competitiveness of various countries, human resources directly affect the level of scientific and technological development. From the perspective of practical development, scientific and technological human resources are development resources with subjectivity and particularity, which will produce geographical displacement under the influence of external factors. Therefore, according to the needs of its own construction and development, China should strengthen the attention of scientific and technological human resources, and at the same time, according to the gradually formed phenomenon of aggregation, make reasonable use of the macro-control ability of the government, fully display the positive role of the integration of scientific and technological human resources, so as to lay a foundation for the strengthening of China's economic strength. As a part of the economic development of various industries, the technology of biotechnology industry is very critical. In this paper, the full-time equivalent of research and experimental development personnel is regarded as the quantity of explicit human resources, while the students in colleges and universities are regarded as the negative force of scientific and technological talents. The location entropy is used to present the specific situation of scientific and technological human resources directly, and analyze its distribution in different regions of China, and finally verify that the current concentration of scientific and technological human resources in China plays a positive role in promoting economic growth.
