Abstract

With the continuous development of photovoltaic and energy storage hybrid system (PV-ES hybrid system), how to configure the power and capacity of energy storage system (ESS) has become a hot issue. In this paper, the energy storage allocation method of PV-ES hybrid system considering economy and power stability is proposed. The comparative benefit-cost ratio evaluation index of economy is defined based on the cost and benefit analysis theory. And by analyzing the characteristics of PV power on long and short time scale, the probability index of suppressing power fluctuations is defined in a statistic way. Combining the above two indexes, an aggregative index is constructed to establish an energy storage allocation model, and the power and capacity of energy storage can be determined. Finally, case study verifies the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed method.
