Abstract

For the 4WD hybrid power system, a rule based energy control strategy for engine optimal curve was designed with minimizing fuel consumption as objective. Fuzzy control strategy was proposed using the ratio of the require torque to the engine optimal torque and the battery state of charge (SOC) as the inputs, the best engine torque coefficient as the output. Based on fuzzy rule control strategy were compared with rule based energy control strategy in CRUISE software. The simulation result was shown that engine operating point was according with the target curve in the NEDC cycle. The fuel consumption of fuzzy control algorithm of the vehicle was 5.25 L/100km, the economizing rate increased 4.55%.
