Abstract

A simplified electromagnetic scattering model for Anti-radiation missile (ARM) is built in this paper. In this model, we suppose that the warhead, main body, wing and tail of ARM have regular shapes, and the simplified model is form of these four parts. Scattering characteristic of each part of ARM is calculated by using methods of physical optics (PO), equivalent currents (MEC), and geometrical optics (GO). The total phase and amplitude characteristics of ARM are calculated considering the phase contribution of each scattering center. The effect of observation plan on the missile's radar cross section (RCS) and phase change is analyzed.
