Abstract

This work extends the previous research on electroosmotic flow in semicircular microchannels, further investigating the electromagnetic electroosmotic flow of Jeffrey fluid under the combined action of the electric field force and electromagnetic force. The analytic solution of velocity is derived using the variable separation method. The influences of oscillation Reynolds number Hartmann number electric width relaxation time and retardation time on velocity are examined through graphical analysis. The results show that an increase in Reynolds number leads to stronger oscillations in the velocity profile at any Hartmann number and the change in velocity oscillations becomes more pronounced with increasing Hartmann number Specifically, at lower Hartmann numbers the velocity increases with an increase in electric width and relaxation time but decreases with an increase in retardation time An interesting finding is that, at higher Hartmann numbers the velocity of the Jeffrey fluid still decreases under the influence of obstruction in the channel. Furthermore, the results of this study are compared with those of previous scholars to validate their accuracy.
