Abstract

With the increase of the proportion of renewable energy, the traditional period division method based on load curve is no longer suitable for the new power system. Considering the development trend of renewable energy, a method for dividing peak and valley periods based on the ratio of supply and demand was proposed. According to the ratio of power supply and load demand, the peak and valley periods were divided by K-means algorithm. By comparing the period division method based on load curve with the period division method based on supply/demand ratio curve, the validity of the peak/valley period division method based on supply/demand ratio proposed in this paper is verified.
