Abstract

The dynamic characteristics of machine tools have a great effect on their machining precision, reliability and service life, it gradually decays as usage time goes by, with the different types and performance of machine tools, the decay tendency of machine tools' dynamic characteristics has great difference. In allusion to the current situation that dynamic characteristics decay tendency is lack of quantitative indicators, this paper puts forward a quantitative evaluation method for dynamic characteristics decay of the machine tool based on fuzzy association. This method extracts the feature data sequences of the machine tool vibration signals using 1/3 octave spectrum analysis, and then implements association analysis for the feature data sequences using fuzzy association analysis theory, and finally the dynamic characteristic decay tendency of the machine tool can be represented by the variation of Minkowski approach degree. Using the method proposed in this paper, the fixed measuring points in the work piece spindle and grinding wheel spindle of the cylindrical grinder have been tested for several months in the same working parameters, and the dynamic characteristic decay tendency of the cylindrical grinder has been studied, and finally we obtain the actual results that coincide with the physical truth of the machine tool.
