Abstract

Fiber-reinforced concrete (FRC) has received much attention in civil engineering in recent years, mainly due to it improves the weak tensile strength and shrinkage cracks of concrete. However, there are still many problems in the research results of FRC. For example, there are still disputes about the performance improvement effect or adverse effect of various types of fibers in concrete. There are also disputes about the influence degree of the size, strength, elastic modulus and other characteristic parameters of each fiber on the properties of the substrate. The research on the fiber mixing law of hybrid fiber reinforced concrete (HFRC) is not enough. There is controversy about the selection of the fibers for hybrid fibers as well as the characterization of the hybrid effect. To summarize, it is necessary to review, summarize and compare the current research on FRC. Based on the main research achievements on FRC in recent years, this paper collates and evaluates the existing research in the framework of experimental research and theoretical research of various types of FRC materials, to facilitate the reference of researchers in the same field. Finally, combined with the research experience in related fields, some new views and suggestions on the research of FRC are put forward for the research and application.
