Abstract

A logistics system is made up of a set of facilities linked by transportation services. Freight transportation plays a fundamental role in every modern supply chain as it allows production and consumption to take place at locations that are several hundreds or thousands of miles away from each other. Logistic networks are designed in order to get the right materials to the right place at the right time, while optimizing a given performance measure and satisfying a given set of constraints. This paper is to study providing object-oriented simulation constructs for Wuhu large-scale modeling of sense and respond logistics in supply situations.
