Abstract

China’s distribution network is widely distributed, and its geography and geomorphology is complex. Lightning strikes are an important cause of faults in distribution network lines. Due to the low insulation level of distribution network equipment and the wide distribution of points, the impact of lightning strikes is particularly serious. Especially in the southern region, the intensity and frequency of lightning activities are much higher than the national average. In the past, lightning distribution methods in line with national standards could not protect the distribution network in the southern region effectively. Based on the analysis of the climatic characteristics of the southern region, considering the difference between the lightning protection and the difference between the distribution network and the transmission line, this paper proposes the development direction of several lightning protection devices and devices for distribution network, which provides lightning protection for distribution network and future equipment development. reference.
